I think the councilman should lead the crap bucket brigade and clean up the streets using scrub brushes.

As has become a trademark characteristic of leftist cities, Seattle has a problem with human feces coating their streets and sidewalks. And, of course, the city council is unable to agree on how to clean up the sidewalk. The obvious answer, power-washers, have been deemed controversial because they are apparently racist. Councilmember Larry Gossett says power-washing the sidewalks brings up images of using hoses against the civil rights activists in the past:

“Some committee members expressed concern about addressing the symptoms of the area’s problems without getting to the cause. Councilmember Larry Gossett said he didn’t like the idea of power-washing the sidewalks because it brought back images of the use of hoses against civil-rights activists.
Another council member, Claudia Balducci, suggested that the county consider using social-service employees in partnership with police.”

This should be no surprise, since the left believes everything is racist nowadays. If the councilman wants to prevent the use of power-washers then I think the councilman should lead the crap bucket brigade and clean up the streets using scrub brushes. Then let’s see how his outlook on power-washers changes.
