Iran Test Fires New Missiles

Let me set the record straight and say it is our problem and if we don’t stop it now we will be faced with stopping it in the future.

On Wednesday, Iran successfully test-fired a medium-range missile that flew more than 600 miles from Southern Iran to an area outside the capital, Tehran, according to Fox News. This comes as tensions between the United States and Iran have been heating up dramatically over the past few months.

In recent months, Iran has launched multiple attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz from the U.S. and its allies. According to Fox News, “Iran has held a British-flagged oil tanker and its 23 crew members captive since last week when the ship was seized by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) seized in the Strait of Hormuz.”

Tensions between the U.S. and Iran have heated up as tensions between the U.S. and North Korea have done the same. North Korea has test-launched multiple missiles this week that could reach all of South Korea. Every week the US is faced with yet another provocation from either Iran or North Korea. Every week I see people on social media say “It’s not our problem, let Europe handle it.” Let me set the record straight and say it is our problem and if we don’t stop it now we will be faced with stopping it in the future.
