Eddie Gallagher’s Commanding Officer to Undergo Trial

What happened to Eddie Gallagher was a travesty of justice by the Navy Justice system and Naval Special Warfare Command

A few weeks ago, Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher was found not guilty of premeditated murder and attempted murder. However, his commanding officer, Lt. Jacob X. “Jake” Portier, is still going to be prosecuted for failing to report war crimes that Gallagher’s jury said were never committed. This is clearly unjust and wrong.

The cases against Gallagher and Portier were corrupt before the trial even began. A military judge had to remove the lead prosecutor for sending spyware to Gallagher’s and Portier’s defense attorneys without a warrant.

Prosecuting Portier for not reporting war crimes that did not happen would be like the prosecution of someone for obstruction of justice for crimes that were never committed. President Trump, who people are trying to impeach for obstructing justice for crimes that were never committed, assisted in the release of Eddie Gallagher from solitary confinement and supported Gallagher throughout the ridiculous trial.

What happened to Eddie Gallagher was a travesty of justice by the Navy Justice system and Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC). Now, what Is happening to Lt. Jacob X. “Jake” Portier is equally unjust, and points towards a broken Navy Legal system that is full of deep sate players that hate the military. I 100% support the president’s involvement with Eddie, and I would like to see the same support for Lt. Portier. Then a completed review of the DOD legal systems should be carried out immediately.
